Sarah Furey Crandall practiced criminal defense law in Madison for many years before pulling up stakes and heading for calmer seas. She is now back, doing legal research and writing for our firm, and her talents have only grown over the years. She has done the brief writing in many cases that have been won on the briefs alone, without the necessity of a court trial, and she wrote the first draft of the Petition for Certiorari that got City News and Novelty v. City of Waukesha accepted for argument by the United States Supreme Court.
While practicing in Madison, Sarah handled a number of high profile cases and achieved some truly astounding jury results. She also founded the Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers' Association, which is still going strong. The intense caring about her clients that characterized her criminal defense practice has never left her, and our clients are much better off for it.
